Public Works Ministry continues to expand, maintain road network

SANAA, June 20 (YPA) – Minister of Public Works and Roads Ghalib Mutlaq on Thursday confirmed that the ministry’s determination to continue work to expand and maintain the road network despite the economic difficulties caused by the aggression.

During the opening of the project of asphalting and expanding Dharwan market in Hamdan district of Sanaa province, the minister praised the efforts of the Road Maintenance Fund and the General Establishment for Roads and Bridges, which completed the project within a short time not exceeding 15 days.

Mutlaq noted that the project would facilitate traffic movement especially that it is located on the main road linking the capital Sanaa and the provinces of Amran and Saada.

Following the opening, the vehicles resumed traffic through the market after expanding it a kilometer in length with a width of 30 meters at a cost of 300 million riyals.
