Update 1: Yemeni forces repel attacks, destroy five Saudi military vehicles in Najran

NAJRAN, June 10 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Monday managed to destroy five Saudi military vehicles loaded with mercenaries hired by Saudi-led coalition during an infiltration attempt by the Saudi army to restore positions taken by the Yemeni army forces in Najran region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency

According to the official, the Yemeni forces “thwarted an infiltration attempt by the Saudi army and its mercenaries on army positions in Ajasher and Boqa desert, killing and injuring many of the mercenaries.

He further confirmed that the army forces foiled massive attacks by the Saudi army and its mercenaries from three tracks in Ajasher desert off al-Khadra crossing, killing and injuring a number of them, in addition to destroying three military vehicles.

Furthermore, the army forces destroyed two military vehicles by improvised explosive devices planted by army’s engineering unit in Boqa dessert, killing all their crew members.
