SANAA, June 5 (YPA) – The national competition for pioneers of innovative projects held in the capital Sanaa and adopted by Ministry of Industry and Trade during the period April – June 2019 was concluded on Wednesday.

More than 300 contestants participated in the competition, in which Reham Ali Abdo al-Mukhtari won the first place for inventing a home-dialysis machine, followed by a team consisting of 10 persons in the second place for designing and manufacturing three-dimensional printers, and in the third place came Tamkeen team for inventing an robotic artificial arm.

At the conclusion of the competition, Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtour delivered a speech, in which he stressed the importance of focusing on general, technical and academic education to make progress for countries.

Dr. bin Habtour indicated that one of the serious objectives of “the aggression (Saudi-led coalition)” is to stop lives of the Yemeni people and confiscate their free will.

“Despite the aggression of seventeen countries on Yemen over five years and the destruction of the elements of Yemeni life, we are proud that we still have young people working and producing and inventing,” he said.
