Interior Minister directs security directors to adhere to Criminal Procedure Code

SANAA, May 14 (YPA) – Minister of Interior in the National Salvation Government Major General Abdulkarim al-Houthi on Monday directed security directors in the provinces to abide by the Code of Criminal Procedure during performing their duties.

During an expanded meeting held at the Interior Ministry, al-Houthi called for developing the performance of the security services starting from police stations and security directorates in the districts and ending with the security directorates in the provinces.

The Minister noted that field committees would start their work in correcting the performance and raise proposals for the development in the various security facilities.

Maj. Gen. al-Houthi stressed the importance of strengthening the relationship between the security services and the Public Prosecution in order to contribute to expediting the resolution of citizens’ issues.

He emphasized the need to combine efforts to maintain security and stability and gain citizen’s confidence.
