Parliament Speaker confers President al-Mashat rank of Field Marshal

SANAA, April 28 (YPA) – Speaker of the Yemeni Parliament Yahya al-Ra’I on Sunday conferred the rank of Field Marshal on President of the Supreme Political Council – Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces – Mahdi al-Mashat.

The conferment ceremony was held in the presence of members of the Supreme Political Council Mohammed al-Nua’imi, Sultan al-Sama’i, Ahmad al-Rahwi, Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, Speaker of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Aidarous and Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Abdulsalam Hashwal.
