Capital’s Mayor, Country Head of UN-Habitat discuss EU-funded reconstruction plan

SANAA, April 20 (YPA) – Mayor of the capital Sanaa Hamoud Obad on Saturday discussed with Head of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in Yemen Wael Al-Ashhab the capital’s reconstruction plan project to be funded by the European Union.

The meeting touched on aspects related to the implementation of the Urban Status Analysis Project, and the joint coordination between the two sides to improve the reconstruction plan of Sanaa City.

Mayor of the capital confirmed that the UN program would receive all necessary facilitates in order to implement its activities and projects in the capital.

In the meeting, Obad reviewed the difficulties and challenges facing the capital in meeting needs of citizens and internally displaced people and providing public services for them.
