FM asks Russia to stop illegal actions on Yemen’s embassy in Moscow

SANAA, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Foreign Minister in the National Salvation Government, Hisham Sharaf, on Tuesday requested Russian authorities’ intervention to stop any illegal measures on the premises of the Yemeni embassy in Moscow.

In a letter he sent to the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, the minister Sharaf asked to halt any action in the contract of the embassy’s premises or its ground until the post-period of the peaceful political settlement.

The move came after an attempt to waive the Yemeni embassy building in favor of third parties by members of the embassy staff working with a group loyal to the exiled president (Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi) in Moscow.
