12 Palestinians arrested in West Bank, Gaza

SANAA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and raids on Thursday and arrested eight Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank.

According to Palestinian local sources, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the house of the estranged deputy from Jerusalem Ahmed Aton in Sur Baher and arrested his wife, Nasreen Duyat.

Separately in Gaza Strip, four fishermen were arrested by the occupation forces while they were sailing 3 nautical miles on the shore of Beit Lahia town off the Gaza coast.

Fishing boats are frequently targeted by the Israeli gunboats, which prevents them of the freedom to fish, in violation of the understandings of the truce agreement concluded between the Palestinian factions and Israel under Egyptian auspices in the summer of 2014.

The Israeli occupation forces allowed the boats to fish nine miles in the area, according to the occupation’s claims.
