SANAA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The British newspaper The Independent has warned  in its report published on Monday of the policies pursued by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The newspaper considered  bin Salman attempts to influence events in Lebanon and Qatar have for the most part backfired; and the kingdom’s involvement in Yemen’s civil war has stagnated to the point it is now being referred to as Saudi’s Vietnam. ”

Although, youth category in Saudi Arabia considers the Salman’s rapid ascension to power as an indication that things in the country are moving towards change, but not all members of society are ready to accept social transformation, the news paper added.

By tightening his grip on power internally, Ibn Salman is looking to realize the kingdom’s vision of keeping the Middle East away from the regional rival of Iran,  Perhaps America attitude towards Iran made President Donald Trump stand alongside Riyadh, it reported.

The newspaper described Ibn Salman’s strategy inside Saudi Arabia as bold, but like his foreign adventures is not guaranteed success.

Saudi citizen suffers from a reduction in subsidies on fuel and high unemployment, both factors leading to uprisings and wars elsewhere in the region, it explained.

The newspaper concluded its report by this question” Whether the new crown prince will be able to control the myriad forces he has unleashed both at home and abroad remains to be seen?”.
