Cholera targets 350 people in Dhalea

DHALEA, April 24 (YPA) – About 350 people have been infected with cholera disease, a watery diarrhea, which is sweeping a number of districts of Dhalea province, south of Yemen, since last Saturday.

Health sources said that the disease is targeting especially children and the elderly.

The sources indicated that cholera has spread in a terrifying manner in the Tursa al-Ghail area in Azraq district, amid the deterioration and collapse of health services in the district and the failure of the authorities loyal to the coalition to provide the simplest medical and therapeutic capabilities to patients.

“The disease is sweeping the villages relentlessly, putting the people in real danger,” they affirmed pointed out that threatening more deaths among children and the elderly due to the low level of environmental and health awareness in those areas.”
