DHAMAR, July 16 (YPA) – An earthquake struck areas in Abyan Governorate, southern Yemen, near Al-Bayda Governorate, on Wednesday morning.
A statement issued by the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Studies Center stated that the center’s stations recorded a mild earthquake measuring 3.3 on the Richter scale on the outskirts of Abyan Governorate, 33 kilometers southeast of Al-Bayda city, at 10:30 a.m. Sana’a time.
The center explained that the earthquake is considered a mild, perceptible tremor, and its epicenter was located between longitudes (N 13.71, E 43.72).
It confirmed that specialists at the center are following developments in seismic activity in the region and various Yemeni regions.
