Fierce battles renew in Marib

MARIB, Dec. 06 (YPA) – Fierce clashes renewed on Tuesday between Sanaa forces and the Saudi-led coalition forces on the southwestern fronts of the city of Marib, northeastern Yemen.

Local sources that fierce battles broke out in the area of Al-Akd and on the outskirts of the Al-Balaq Al-Sharqi mountain range on the southwestern fronts of the city.

This came after the coalition forces launched a large-scale military attack on the positions of the Sanaa forces in “Al-Akd” area.

According to the sources, many officers and recruits of the coalition were killed, including the prominent leader, “Yasser Ali Muhsin al-Megrahi, and wounded as a result of their failed attack.

On Thursday, the coalition forces lost 10 of their military commanders in a failed attack on the same area.
