President Al-Mashat stresses importance of supporting agricultural sector

SANAA, Nov. 24 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, stressed the importance of encouraging citizens and supporting agricultural sector for achieving food security.

This came during his meeting with the Chairman of the Higher Agricultural Fisheries Committee, Ibrahim Al-Madani.

Al-Mashat urged the Committee to support the farmers in the well-known provinces of Jawf, Amran and Dhamar, for growing wheat.

The meeting reviewed the difficulties facing the committee’s work, especially with regard to the provision of fuel in light of the continuing American piracy and the detention of oil derivatives ships and preventing their entry to Hodeida port.
