Yemeni army reveals details of “Fajr Al-Intisar” operation that in Marib

SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, on Tuesday revealed the details of the large-scale military operation “Fajr Al-Intisar” (Dawn of Victory) carried out by the army and the popular committees in Marib province.

Brig. Gen. Sarie explained in a press briefing this afternoon that after the success of the “Al-Bass Al-Shadid” operation, the armed forces launched the “Fajr Al-Intisar” operation to liberate other areas in Marib.

He announced that the army and the popular committees managed to liberate a total area of 600 square kilometers during the operation, which included the liberation of the geographical space between the liberated areas previously in Al-Bass Al-Shadid operation to the outskirts of the city of Marib.

The spokesman confirmed that “the armed forces are today on the outskirts of the city of Marib from several sides.”

Sarie revealed that the number of dead among the enemy troops reached 1,300, in addition to 4,320 wounded and 30 captured, while nearly 300 armored vehicles, vehicles, personnel carriers and four weapons depots belonging to the enemy forces were destroyed.

He pointed out that the air defenses managed to shoot down 11 coalition spy planes during the military operation, while the air defenses recorded about 518 operations of confronting the coalition aircraft and forcing them to leave.

The coalition warplanes launched 948 air raids, including raids targeted citizens’ homes and public roads, he added.

The army spokesman stated that the air force carried out about 245 operations, including 170 operations in the Saudi territories and 75 operations inside Yemen, noting that the missile force carried out 68 operations targeting the gatherings and bases of the coalition forces, including 49 operations inside and 19 others in the Saudi territories.
