Military commander loyal to Hadi killed in Abyan

ABYAN, April 06 (YPA) – The so-called special security forces loyal to Hadi government have taken control of strategic areas in the southern Province of Abyan after clashes with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias on Monday.

Local sources said forces loyal to Hadi took control of the Al-Wadhea triangle Ahawar and the entire coastal strip.

The commander of the special security forces’ brother in Abyan province, Salah al-Awban, was killed and three others were injured in clashes with the security belt forces in Khabar al-Marakisha, according to the sources.

The sources added that Hadi’s forces began a deployment in an attempt to narrow down the STC militias  to expel them from the areas.
