Strong earthquake hits northern Algeria

SANAA, Feb. 24 (YPA) – A strong earthquake hit, at dawn on Wednesday, the northern region of Algeria.
According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale.
The center indicated that the earthquake occurred at latitude (35.59) north, and longitude (5.17) east.
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center revealed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 58 km east of M’sila Province, and 29 km northwest of Barika district, Batna Province.
The earthquake was recorded at (01:51: 06.0) UTC, while there is no information on casualties and damage so far.
