Islah militias threaten journalist with liquidation

TAIZ, Feb. 21 (YPA) – A journalist opposed to Islah Party in Taiz revealed on Sunday that he had received threats of physical liquidation by the so-called “Popular Mobilization Forces.”

Journalist Ibrahim Al-Hussaini confirmed that he had received a text message “sms” that notified him that he was being watched, and that he was given three days to stop writing unless he or one of his sons would be killed.

Al-Hussaini explained that after searching for the owner of the phone number from which the threat arrived, it became clear that it was in the name of a member of the so-called “Popular Mobilization Forces”, affiliated with the Islahi leader Hamoud al-Mikhlafi.

He held the Islah’s security services in Al-Shamayatein district responsible for exposing his life or the life of his family to any danger whatsoever, demanding the quick arrest of the accused and investigation with him.

It is noteworthy that journalists are subjected to assassinations and abductions in areas under the control of the Hadi’s government loyal to Saudi-led coalition.
