Pro-coalition commander killed in mysterious circumstances in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 18 (YPA) – A senior military commander in the ranks of the Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Thursday in mysterious circumstances on ‘Al-Kassara’ front, northwest of Marib city.

According to local sources in Marib province, Brigadier General Ahmed Qaid Al-Sharabi, commander of the so-called “Al-Soqor” Brigade of the coalition forces, was killed in Al-Kassara area, as a result of the explosion of an improvised explosive device planted in his car.

Media outlets affiliated with the coalition accuses Al-Qaeda and southern reinforcements, which arrived two days ago to the city of Marib, of being behind the assassination of the commander of the Al-Soqor Brigade, also known as “Al-Aafreet Brigade.”
