Female detainee dies due to torture in coalition prisons in Marib

MARIB, Feb. 02 (YPA) – Activists on social media circulated on Tuesday news about the death of a former detainee in the prisons of Saudi-led coalition forces in Marib province as a result of being tortured for a whole month.

Activists said that the detainee “Safaa al-Amir” died in the military intelligence prison in Marib, as a result of being tortured, after she was kidnapped with her father and husband.

In an attempt to justify the crime that rocked the city of Marib, the “Hadi government” authority published a photo of a medical report issued by a hospital in the city stating that the victim had died of a heart attack.

Safaa al-Amir is the daughter of the mercenary Brigadier “Khaled al-Amir”, head of the logistical support authority for the coalition forces and the wife of the mercenary “Basim Ali Abdo al-Samit” from the Dhamar province, both were arrested on December 5, 2021 in the city of Marib on charges of corroborating with Sanaa forces. She was arrested, along with her father and husband, and brutally tortured in the intelligence prison of the coalition forces and the Islah Party militia to death on 27 January.
