SANAA, Nov. 21 (YPA) – Iranian ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali confirmed the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem has played a major role in developing relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran, Syria and supporting the axis of resistance.
The Iranian ambassador to Moscow on Friday visited the Syrian embassy, where he laid a wreath and signed a condolence note on the departure of Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem, and offered condolences to the Syrian government and people, according to the Iranian news agency IRNA.
During the visit, the Iranian ambassador met with Syrian Ambassador to Moscow Riad Haddad, stressing the role of Walid al-Moallem in developing Iranian-Syrian relations and supporting the axis of resistance.
For his part, the Syrian Ambassador in Moscow stressed that his government and people will never forget the support provided by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem passed away on Monday at the age of 79.
