Several soldiers loyal to Hadi killed in STC’s ambush in Abyan

ABYAN, Nov. 16 (YPA) – Several soldiers loyal to Hadi’s government were killed and wounded in an attack carried out by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Abyan province, southern Yemen. This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on local sources.

According to the sources, the STC militias attacked Hadi’s military reinforcements were heading in the coastal city of Shuqrah, coming from Shabwah province.

The attack, which took place in Al-Muhafed’s road, causing deaths and injuries and destroying a mechanism.

The sources added that the STC’s ambushes were back to hit Hadi’s reinforcements before they reached the frontlines of Zinjibar city.

This comes at a time of escalating hostilities between  both sides in the fronts of Sheikh Salem and Al-Tariya .
