Biden pledges to be president who unites all Americans

SANAA, Nov. 8 (YPA) – US President- elect Joe Baden pledged on Sunday to be a president that unites everyone and seeks the trust of all, after announcing his victory in the race for the White House.

“I pledge to be a President who seeks not to divide, but to unify.Who doesn’t see Red and Blue states, but a United States.And who will work with all my heart to win the confidence of the whole people, ” Biden said after announcing victory.

He added: ” I sought this office to restore the soul of America. To rebuild the backbone of the nation of middle class. To make America respected around the world again and to unite us here at home.”

Biden said during his speech that he had achieved an unprecedented victory in the country’s history, noting that the American people, noting that the Americans said their word, with 74 million voting in favor of him.

Addressing supporters of current President Donald Trump, Biden said, “It’s time to give up the mainstream rhetoric. Our competitors are not our enemies and they are also Americans. Let us work together for the good of our country.”

Biden also pledged to appoint a group of advisers and scientists next Monday to develop a plan to combat the new Coronavirus pandemic.

Biden declared victory in the US presidential election, saying he was honored that “Americans have chosen him to lead the country.”

He added that the work he is waiting for as president is “not easy,” stressing that he will be president of all Americans.

Biden comes at a time of the country’s worst public health crisis in 100 years, the deepest economic recession since the 1930s, as well as a social crisis ravaging the U.S. interior due to racism and unresolved police violence.
