Commander loyal to Islah assassinated in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, Oct. 31 (YPA) – A commander in Tahami resistance loyal to Islah was assassinated on Saturday in Hodeidah province, a source told Yemen Press Agency.

The source confirmed that the commander in the second brigade, Najeeb al-Tahami was assassinated in front of his home in al-Khukha city.

Two gunmen were riding a motorcycle shot dead Najeeb and escaped to unknown destination, the source added.

Residents of al-Khukha district denounced the crime, calling on to reveal the assassinations and kidnapping cells which target Tahama sons.

Some activists accused Amar Afash cells of carrying out the assassinations which target commanders who refuse the existence of UAE-backed Tariq Afash forces in Tahama coast.
