MARIB, Oct. 24 (YPA) – A military leader in Saudi-led coalition forces was killed on Saturday during an attempt to advance towards ‘Al-Khanjar’ area, located between Marib and Jawf provinces, sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources stated that among the military leaders, who were killed during the failed advance attempt, was Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Mohsin Hatem, chief of operations of the 1st battalion in the so-called “1st of Border Guard Brigade”.
The Yemeni army forces and popular committees managed to implement a counter-attack to repel the coalition forces’ attempt to advance towards Al-Khanjar area in ‘Al-Yatama desert, east of Khab Washa’af district in Jawf province, which caused heavy losses to the coalition forces in lives and gear, according to the sources.
