Al Ghaydah Airport is a living witness to absurdity of Saudi occupation

MAHRAH, Oct. 22 (YPA) – In the past, Saudi Arabia has practiced all kinds of tampering with the capabilities of Yemen since it set foot in Mahrah province.

The Saudi occupation forces closed Al Ghaydah Airport on December 10, 2019, to the citizens, restricted their movement and freedom, prevented them from benefiting from the airport and prevented its employees from carrying out their work under the pretext of fighting terrorism and smuggling.

Later, reports by international organizations revealed that Saudi Arabia had turned Al-Ghaydah airport into a secret detention facility to hide activists who opposed its presence  in the province.

Activists on social media during the past have circulated a shocking picture for the airport today after it was an important outlet for Yemenis to travel abroad for treatment or study.

The photo showed a number of dogs standing in front of the gate of the departure hall without being harassed or afraid of passers-by in case it reflected the extent of Saudi hatred and absurdity by closing an important vital facility such as Al-Ghaydah Airport.

It is noteworthy that the sons of Mahrah have staged protests in the past months demanding the reopening of the airport, but the Saudi occupation has met with military reinforcements and imposed its dominance on land, sea and air ports to this day.
