Yemeni army seizes important military sites west of Marib

MARIB, Sep. 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces backed by the popular committees managed on Wednesday to tighten screws on Saudi-led coalition forces and Islah Party militia inside Marib city, in the northeast of the country, a military source told Yemeni Press Agency.

This comes in conjunction with great and remarkable victories achieved by the army and committees in the vicinity of the city of Marib.

The source explained that the terrible pressure on the coalition forces’ positions on a number of Marib fronts, especially in ‘Al-Sabayegh’ area, west of the city, towards Al Nasea villages, has aroused the panic among the coalition forces that fled, leaving behind their military gear and an area of about 10 kilometers they were controlling.

The source confirmed that the army forces and the popular committees fought in the past hours fierce battles against the coalition forces, west of Marib, and were able to advance towards beyond ‘Al-Dhaiq’ areas.

It seems that the Yemeni army forces and the popular committees are intent on liberating the city of Marib in the next few days.
