Objecting to normalization, Palestine gives up presidency of Arab League

QUDS, Sep. 22 (YPA) – The Palestinian Foreign Minister, Riyad al-Maliki, announced on Tuesday that his country would give up its right to chair the current session of the Arab League Council, in protest to the UAE and Bahrain’s declaration of normalization with the Israeli occupation.

Al-Maliki added, in a press conference, that the State of Palestine is a member of the Arab League, and has worked to enhance its role and position.

He affirmed that Palestine will not give up its seat in the Arab League because this will create a vacuum that can generate different scenarios that are needless at this sensitive stage.
