Heavy rains cause old buildings collapse in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 4 (YPA) – A number of old buildings in Maeen district of the capital Sanaa collapsed on Tuesday because of the heavy rains being witnessed by the capital these days.

“Two buildings collapsed entirely, while several others collapsed partly in the old villages in Mathbah and Asr neighborhoods,” said Abdulmalik al-Radhi, director of Maeen district.

Al-Radhi indicated that a team was assigned by the Supreme Council for Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the emergency and crisis operations room to count the damages and provide the necessary assistance.
