Commander in Amaliqa brigades forces escapes assassination attempt in Lahj

LAHJ, July 29 (YPA) – A military commander loyal to Amaliqa brigade forces escaped on Wednesday an assassination attempt in Lahj province, sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources said that gunmen targeted car of the commander of the third battalion in the third brigade, Fuad al-Haish by a mortar shell in al-Waht area of Tibn district, injuring him seriously.

The area witnesses clashes among the UAE-backed security-belt forces and Salfi gunmen loyal to Lahj governor.
