NMC warns of instability in weather on separate areas over next 24 hours

SANAA, July 9 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center warned on Thursday from instability in the weather on separate parts of the country over the next 24 hours.

The continuous rainfall of varying intensity accompanied by thunderstorms, and active winds includes parts of mountain heights and inner plateaus, which may extend to parts of the desert areas.

The rain will extend east to parts of the interior plateaux, and west to parts of the western coast and to mountainous areas of Tihama.

The center expected that the persistent monsoons continue in the eastern regional waters and around Socotra, as well as the Gulf of Aden, the eastern coasts and entrance of Bab Al-Mandab.

The center has warned citizens and drivers of driving in areas where it is expected to rain and to stay away from floods.

The center also called on vehicle drivers to take care and be cautious about the decline in the horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog, low clouds and of rock and mud slides on the roads in the highlands.

The center also warned seagoers, ship masters, and fishermen around Socotra and in the southern and eastern coasts and west of the Gulf of Aden to the entrance to Bab al-Mandab of strong winds, sea turbulence and high waves.
