FM meets UNHCR’s Resident Representative
SANAA, Feb. 12 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf on Tuesday met with the newly-appointed Resident Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Sanaa.
During the meeting, Sharaf welcomed the UNHCR’s representative, confirming the National Salvation Government’s keenness to provide all kinds of support and facilities for the success of the office’s work.
The Foreign Minister stressed the need for humanitarian organizations working in Yemen to focus on redoubling the efforts of humanitarian action in a manner that contributes to alleviating the suffering and the catastrophe that the Yemeni people went through as a result of the aggression.
At handing his credentials, UNHCR’s representative confirmed that he would do his utmost to activate the office activities.
