“Riyadh agreement” prevents employees from working in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The features of the implementation of Riyadh agreement that has been recently signed between Hadi’s government and the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council remain vague and unworkable on the ground.

In the past few days, violations and rebellions have been going in a way that confirms that the agreement is heading towards a complete failure. It seems that the resolve of the warring factions stronger than the “agreement” that has turned into a farce that is not worth the ink it was written with.

The latest chapters of the play came Monday from the Ministry of Information in Aden, whose employees were prevented from entering the ministry building by the transitional council’s militants who control the ministry and the area where it is located.

The ministry staffs directed a distress memo to the minister Muammar al-Eryani in order to persuade the transitional council to allow the employees to enter their offices, even out of respect for the mock agreement.

However, some considered the memorandum addressed to al-Eryani “useless”, and what can a minister without powers, expelled outside Aden, add to the scene?

While some observers say that if there were intentions to implement the agreement on the ground, there would be no such flood of complaints from both sides.

However, there are those who believe that the situation in the occupied areas of southern Yemen is more likely to lead more bloody clashes than before the Riyadh agreement.
