Oil Minister, UN official discuss catastrophic effects due to lack of oil derivatives

SANAA, Oct. 9 (YPA) – Minister Oil and Minerals Ahmed Abdullah Daris met on Wednesday with the UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen Lise Grande to discuss efforts to reduce the catastrophic repercussions targeting the Yemeni people due to lack of oil derivatives.

At the meeting, the minister called the UN official to exert more efforts to launch ships carrying oil derivatives held by the aggression states for alleviating the worsening humanitarian situation.

Daris affirmed that arbitrary actions by the aggression targeted various vital sectors and services, including hospitals, health centers and water projects needed by the Yemeni people.

Meanwhile, the UN official confirmed the UN would exert efforts to launch the oil ships and continue to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
