Al-Shami, Malley discuss coalition ongoing siege against Sanaa airport

SANAA, July 21 (YPA) – Minister of Transport Zakaria al-Shami met on Sunday with the executive chief of the International Crisis Group Robert Malley to discuss the ongoing siege against Sanaa international airport by the Saudi-led coalition.

The minister noted that the closure of the airport caused killing tens of thousands of patients and hundreds of thousands waiting for travelling to abroad for treatment.

Al-Shami stressed the importance of visiting by Malley to obtain on violations and the war crimes by coalition against the Yemeni people.

The meeting reviewed the worsening humanitarian situation in Yemen as a result of the aggression and siege, as well as closing Sanaa International airport.

Two officials touched open the latest developments and the facilities provided by the Ministry to the UN team to carry out Stockholm Agreement sponsored by the United Nations in light of rejection and obstructions by the coalition.

Al-Shami indicated that air and sea piracy is carried out by the aggression states to prevent entering ships carrying food, medicine and oil derivatives to Hodeidah ports.
