Al- Mourtada makes proposal to prove mutual accusations about prisoners

SANAA, May 4 (YPA) – The head of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs, Abdul Qader al-Murtada, Abdelkader Mourtada has commented on the accusations of war against Yemen made by Saudi-led coalition forces with direct Support of the US and Britain, for the National Salvation government and “Ansarullah” to torture prisoners, through a proposed declaration to substantiate these accusations and statement to show public opinion. , which side is violating the rights of prisoners.

“The forces of aggression and their mercenaries are practicing all violations against prisoners and detainees in their jails, denying the existence of many of them, and then accusing us of this,” he said in a FaceBook Post on Friday night.

“We propose the formation of a committee of Yemeni authorities, social figures, the International Committee of the Red Cross and United Nations human rights organizations based in Yemen,” he added.

In detailing the task of this proposed committee, Mourtada said: “The committee will visit all the prisons of the two parties, see the situation of prisoners and detainees, and publish the results of their visit to public opinion.”

“Do the forces of aggression and their mercenaries have the audacity to agree to this proposal in order to prove to everyone that what we are saying about them is untrue,” al- Mourtada stated.

The coalition and its forces ‘ accusations came after the chairman of the Committee on Prisoners ‘ Affairs in Sanaa, Abdul Qader al-Mourtada has said on Wednesday that the exiled Hadi’s government has the biggest initiative on prisoner exchange on the occasion of Ramadan.

“The Committee is ready to conduct an exchange of prisoners with the other party, under which 1,000 prisoners will be released from the two sides at a minimum,” he added

He indicated that “the prisoners’ file is humane and does not tolerate partial disagreements and differences.”
