Board of Directors of General Corporation for Grain approves plan for 2019

SANAA, March 27 (YPA) – Board of Directors of the General Corporation for Grain Development and Production on Wednesday approved the corporation’s plan for 2019.

In its meeting chaired by Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Abdulmalik al-Thawr, the corporation’s board of directors discussed several topics related to the proposed budget for the current year and approved it.

The meeting also approved the proposed projects in the plan for the purpose of expanding the cultivation of various grain crops to contribute to the provision of food security needs.

In this regard, the board of directors approved a number of measures to encourage farmers to move towards the cultivation and production of grain especially wheat crop to contribute to the reduction of wheat importing bill from abroad.
