UN investigation: killing of 189 Palestinians in return marches amounted to “war crimes”

SANAA, Feb. 28 (YPA) – A UN investigation committee confirmed on Thursday that the Zionist enemy forces killed 189 Palestinians during the return marches which amounts to war crimes.

The Committee added that our information on Israeli killings during the Gaza protests must be referred to the International Criminal Court, explaining that there is no justification for the killing of children, disabled persons, journalists or paramedics in Gaza by Israeli forces.

The Committee stated that it found evidence of the illegal use of live ammunition by Israeli forces in Gaza, stressing that “the use of live ammunition by Israeli forces against civilians in Gaza is illegal.”

The Committee recommended that Israel lift the siege immediately on the Gaza Strip.

The return marches and the breaking of the peace siege are nearing the completion of their first year since it was launched on 30 March. They came out to affirm the right of the Palestinians to return to their lands they fled in 1948 and to demand the lifting of the 13-year siege.

The attacks of the Zionist enemy forces on the peaceful Palestinian demonstrators killed about 250 citizens, including women and children, and injured more than 23 thousand others of varying severity.
