UN Secretary General proposes UN mediation between India and Pakistan

SANAA,Feb.20 (YPA) – United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday has proposed a UN mediation between India and Pakistan because of the escalating crisis between them.

He urged India and Pakistan to de-escalate tension and to exercise maximum restraint.

Pakistan has already called on Guterres to intervene to call for a reduction of tension with India, following the recent attack in the disputed Kashmir region between the two countries.

The spokesman for the Secretary-General of the Organization, Stefan Dugrick on Tuesday said that they are very concerned about the recent escalating tension between India and Pakistan.
