TAIZ, March 17 (YPA) – At least four soldiers were killed and others injured in armed clashes erupted on Saturday between officers loyal to ex-president’s nephew and troops of the so-called southern resistance in Mocha area of Taiz province, according to military resources.
The clashes broke out after the officers affiliated with Tariq Ali Abdullah Saleh imposed their orders on a number of soldiers belonging to the southern provinces, which resulted in killing four soldiers from Dalea province and wounding others of both sides.
The move comes within the UAE’s attempt to turn its loyal officers and soldiers from the southern provinces to be under the leadership of Tariq in the western coast front, which was rejected categorically by many of the southern leaders.
