MAHRA, Nov. 14 (YPA) – At least two demonstrators were killed and four others injured on Wednesday when Saudi forces and militias of governor of Mahra province, eastern Yemen, fired on a protest against the Saudi occupation.
According to officials, the governor, appointed by the exiled Hadi, was the one who ordered opening fire on crowds of the protesters, who had come to Haswin area to prevent setting up new Saudi military points there.
The committee organizing the Mahra sit-in against Saudi occupation has accused Hadi’s governor of fueling conflicts among the residents of the province, and held him responsible for the assault on the protesters.
