Agricultural survey works in Mahweet to combat Spodoptera frugiperda’ worm continue

MAHWEET, Sep. 5 (YPA) – The works of field survey of the agricultural corps continues on Wednesday in Mahweet province to combat against Spodoptera frugiperda’s worm with support of Food Agricultural Organization.

Head of preliminary survey team’s Ali Farea said that the survey targets to collect information on the propagation of this worm among the cereals’ plants for the aim to limiting its effects on the agricultural sector in provinces’ districts.

He said that the ministry of agriculture had set up a plan to combat this worm, including the manner of struggling, calling on the farmers to cooperate with the survey’s teams.
