Qatar spends millions of dollars on spying operations in occupied areas in Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Confidential documents revealed that the State of Qatar spent huge money to its spying operations on the Yemeni areas under the occupation of the Saudi-led coalition.

Documents leaked from the corridors of Qatari state institutions were obtained by Yemen Press Agency.

The document indicated that Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar appointed some people from Yemen to work for Qatari intelligence.

It also revealed the huge sums allocated by Qatar for two spies in the occupied southern provinces.

The documents stated what was accomplished by the intelligence committee concerned with the affairs of the Yemeni provinces under the Saudi-led coalition occupation forces.

The memorandum referred to a report attached to the spying operation carried out by the two individuals in the security, information and economic aspects in Aden and Lahij province.

The other document, issued by the Governor of the Central Bank of Qatar, dated (January 9, 2018), addressed the Qatari Minister of Finance,  to the  delivery of a sum of US $60 million based on a transfer letter from the State Security service.

The memorandum confirmed that shows that Essam Abdo Hazza Saleh received $ 50,000,000 and Khalid Mohammed Abdullah Haidan received $ 10 million.

It also was appended by a note saying that “the ratio of foreign currency reserves remains stable, and the state treasury has to maintain deposits in foreign currencies to ensure stability.”
