Yemeni army controls several military sites in Jizan

JIZAN, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Monday launched an offensive against Saudi troops’ positions in Jizan region, seizing several sites off Dokhan Mountain, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The attack resulted in several dead and wounded in ranks of the Saudi forces, the official said.

The army forces destroyed a Saudi military vehicle and seized gear from Saudi military sites neighboring al-Dokhan Mountain during the operation, according to the official.

Meanwhile, five Saudi-backed militiamen were shot dead in sniping operations off al-Doud Mountain in the same region.

The Yemeni artillery force shelled gatherings of Saudi soldiers in Arar site, causing heavy losses to the Saudi army.
