Saudi Wing Loong II armed drone shot down over Taiz

SANAA, Nov. 04 (YPA) – Yemen’s Sanaa-based armed forces announced on Wednesday that they had shot down a Saudi Wing Loong II armed reconnaissance drone over Taiz province.

Military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarie said in a statement that the drone was carrying out hostile activities in the skies over Taiz when it was brought down.

He added that it was the tenth drone of its kind to be shot down since Saudi Arabia escalated its military operations against Yemen, adding that it was downed using an appropriate weapon.
