Int’l Orgs working in Yemen condemn Thursday’s coalition massacre in Saada
SANAA, Aug. 12 (YPA) – The international humanitarian organizations working in the humanitarian and health sectors in Yemen on Sunday strongly condemned Thursday’s Saudi-led coalition massacre in Saada province.
The condemnation came during several representatives of the organizations’ meeting with health minister Taha al-Matawakel.
At the meeting, the minister reviewed the tragic medical situation and the suffering of the wounded children due to the shortage of the medical supplies in Saada hospitals.
The air strikes of the coalition, which hit children’s bus in a popular Souk in Dhahyan district, killed 51 citizens including 40 children and injured 79 others.
The meeting affirmed that the war crimes being committed by the coalition are contrary to all the international humanitarian covenants and laws, stressing preparing the organizations to provide necessary support to the health facilities.
