TAIZ, Oct. 28 (YPA) – Governor of Taiz appointed by the Sanaa government, Ahmed al-Masawi, affirmed that Sanaa forces are keen to spare lives and avoid fighting in Taiz city, except against those who wish to remain tools of the Saudi regime and its projects.
In a statement, he noted that Sanaa forces have many options to rid the city of Saudi criminal projects, at a pace faster than anyone might imagine.
The governor also stressed the need to thwart Saudi-backed mobilizations seeking to entrench themselves in residential neighborhoods and citizens’ homes. He said Saudi Arabia’s proxies were unable to justify the reasons for closing roads in the governorate.
He pointed out that Saudi-backed forces were currently entrenched around facilities supplying 70% of Taiz city’s water needs, turning the area into a battlefield. He added that the province had been fully liberated, except for some neighborhoods in the city center.
Al-Masawi further said that the Saudi regime clung to the worst elements from the governorate and only engaged with those of similar character.
He stressed that Taiz was too precious, dignified and noble for those who love it to gamble with its fate for the sake of Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi ambassador or anyone else.
