Sanaa forces foil major advancement of Saudi-backed forces south of Bab al-Mandab, inflicting heavy casualties
SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – Military spokesperson for the Sanaa forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that their forces successfully repelled an advance attempt by Saudi-backed military mobilizations south of Bab al-Mandab.
In an official statement, Brigadier General Saree stated that the mobilizations, reportedly supervised by Saudi officer Bader Al-Harbi—head of the advanced operational base in Aden—were targeted from the southern direction of Bab al-Mandab with a salvo of ballistic missiles and heavy weaponry.
Saree confirmed that the operation thwarted the advancement attempt, resulting in heavy casualties among the targeted forces, with ambulances seen rushing to the sites. He added that several military vehicles belonging to the mobilizations were destroyed.
According to Saree, the Sana’a forces warned local elements against heeding calls from Saudi officers, whom he accused of driving them into high-risk military confrontations.
