SANAA, Oct. 24 (YPA) – Abdul-Malik Al-Ajri, a member of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, warned on Friday that a wider regional confrontation could erupt within weeks, bringing the region closer to a full-scale war.
In a post on X, Al-Ajri wrote, “No one can predict the outcome of such a potential war or how far it could spread across our region.”

He attributed the risk of escalation primarily to the absence of a regional security cooperation framework and reliance on foreign protection.
Al-Ajri said reliance on foreign protection had evolved from a policy choice into a dependency that was difficult to manage.
No party, he added, could ensure its own security at the expense of threatening the security of others.
