Al-Qassam Brigades praise operation in Hebron, calls for Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation

GAZA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Abu Obeida, spokesperson for Hamas’s armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, praised the heroic operation in Al-Khalil [“Hebron”]  in the occupied West Bank on Friday and called for intensified Palestinian popular mobilization against the Israeli occupation.

In a press statement, Abu Obeida described the attack as a “heroic operation” and urged Palestinians to rise up against the occupation, confront ongoing Israeli military operations in the West Bank and its refugee camps, defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian prisoners, and support the people of Gaza.

He linked the confrontation in the West Bank to the humanitarian and military situation in Gaza, stressing the importance of continued public action in solidarity with Palestinians facing the consequences of the Israeli genocidal war and severe humanitarian conditions.

This comes after two young Palestinians attacked an Israeli military checkpoint at the western entrance to Hebron, triggering a gun battle that lasted more than 20 minutes and left five Israeli soldiers dead or wounded.
