US congresswoman calls for halt to transfer of bombs to Israeli occupation

WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (YPA) – US Representative Delia Ramirez called on Congress on Thursday to halt the transfer of American bombs to “Israel”, asserting that the ongoing military campaign in the Gaza Strip is funded by US taxpayers and warning of a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian crisis.

In a post on the platform X, the Illinois Democrat stated that Israeli airstrikes continue to claim the lives of children in Gaza, while approximately half a million Palestinians face the imminent risk of losing access to food assistance.

Ramirez added that the genocide, as she put it, continues, whether through bombing or starvation, and called for the passage of her bill known as “Ban the Bombs,” which calls for stopping the transfer of American bombs to “Israel.”
